This portrait of Foote (1806-1853) was engraved by J.C. Buttre of NY, and has a facsimile signature at the bottom. It was published in 1865 as part of Civil War in America by John S. C. Abbott, and is in excellent condition with no discoloration. It is printed on heavy paper, which is blank on the reverse. The original tissue guard is intact. The margins are bigger than shown here, the print being 9-1/4 inches by 6-1/4 inches; the image area is 7-1/2 inches by 4-1/2 inches. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
