Burns's Cottage, Interior
19th Century Steel Engraving
Burns studies a glass of beer while some simple breads are served to him in a wonderfully cozy-looking cottage. His writing and quill-pen wait by the grandfather clock. The print, by P. Lightfoot from an original by D.O. Hill, was published by Blackie & Son of Glasgow, and is in excellent condition with no discoloration or other damage. It is on heavy paper, and is blank on the reverse. The margins are bigger than shown here, the print being about 10 inches by 6-1/2 inches; the image area is 5-1/2 inches by 3-3/4 inches. There are four pinholes near the edge, well away from the image area, where it was stitched into the original volume. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
