The Communicants
c. 1880 Gebbie & Co. Photogravure
This lovely springtime scene looks like northern Europe in the 17th century, judging from the thatched roofs and the sabots, or wooden shoes on the feet of the villagers. The print, which is printed in an attractive sepia, is in excellent condition with no discoloration or other damage. It is on heavy paper, and is blank on the reverse. The plate impression is clearly visible. The margins are bigger than shown here, the print being about 17 inches by 11-1/2 inches; the image area is 11-1/2 inches by 7-1/4 inches. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
