1800s Steel Engraving
A hooded woman on donkey back looks over her shoulder -- in the distance a man is galloping full-speed towards her. Through the middle of the picture is a swift mountain stream of with the kind of water used to make fine Scotch whiskey. The print, drawn by C. Cattermole and engraved by J.T. Willmore, is in excellent condition with no discoloration or other damage. A tiny faint smudge in the left margin does not distract from the flawless image area. It is on heavy paper, and is blank on the reverse. The margins are bigger than shown here, the print being about 10 inches by 6-1/2 inches; the image area is 5-1/2 inches by 3-3/4 inches. There are four pinholes near the edge, well away from the image area, where it was stitched into the original volume. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
