A shepherd, crook in hand, speaks tenderly to the barefoot shepherdess. The day is ended, the sheep are following them home, and a huge sun is setting dramatically behind the cliffs and the sea in the distance. This lovely print is an example the engraver's art in its highest form. It is in excellent condition with no discoloration or other damage. This print is on medium-weight paper, and is blank on the reverse. The margins are bigger than shown here, the print being 10 inches by 6-3/4 inches; the image area is 7-1/2 inches by 5-1/4 inches.
