The Mountain Spring
19th Century Engraving
A man drinks from a rivulet, while his hunting dogs, spaniels, lap at the stream below. Meanwhile a barefoot maid waits with an empty bucket. He has bagged a bird; it lies on the ground nearby. Other men return from the hunt with dogs on the mountainside in the distance. This print would make a wonderful gift to a dog-lover or hunter. It is in excellent condition with no foxing or discoloration anywhere. The print is on medium-weight paper, and is blank on the reverse. The margins are bigger than shown here, the print being 9-3/4 inches by6-3/4 inches; the image area is 7 inches by 4-3/4 inches. It is trimmied a bit tightly on the bottom, but the trim in no way cuts into the image area or caption. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
