The Parting
Steel Engraving from D. Appleton, c. 1870
He says a final farewell, as he stomps on a torn-up letter, holds the door open for himself, and leaves her weeping on the chair. The print, from an original by J.D. Watson, is in excellent condition with no discoloration or other damage, outside of some of the edges being a little banged up (the image area is flawless). It is on heavy paper, and is blank on the reverse. The margins are bigger than shown here, the print being 15 inches by11 inches; the image area is 9 inches by 7 inches. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
